Aiptasia breakouts are a common problem in reef tanks. They often come as hitchhikers on existing coral frags and can quickly spread throughout the tank. This video shows an inexpensive and simple method of removing aiptasia using a syringe and lemon juice. It is recommended to only treat 3-4 aiptasia at any given time to limit the amount of lemon juice that may enter the water. While the first treatment often works to eliminate the aiptasia, a second treatment may be needed.
