Baby Skunk Cleaner Shrimp – Day 7

Baby Skunk Cleaner Shrimp are notoriously hard to care for……

That doesn’t mean we won’t try.  This is my first attempt at it and the video below is the fry at seven days old with day old baby brine shrimp.  They are in a 10 gallon tank with an automatic heater set at 78 degrees, a thermometer and an air stone for aeration.

Classification:  Lysmata Amboinensis

Temperature of tank:  78 degrees

Specific gravity:  1.025

Iv’e only heard of baby Skunk Cleaners making it to day 120 or so, but most will perish mostly to the long larvae cycle.  Molting is the most when most of the losses will occur.  I’ll keep the page updated periodically and see if I can get them to the next stage.
